COLLINS RELEASES STATEMENT ON SOFTWOOD LUMBER AGREEMENT

WASHINGTON, DC -- Following release of the news today that the US and Canadian governments are within days of releasing details of an agreement on the dispute over Canada's softwood lumber industry, Senator Susan Collins released the following statement:

"I am pleased that a resolution to this issue appears to be at hand. An agreement that addresses all of the complexities of this dispute is without a doubt the best way to move forward."
