Collins, Bipartisan Senate Delegation Arrive in Saudi Arabia

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins, Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee and Subcommittee on Defense, and a bipartisan group of Senators are visiting Saudi Arabia. 

The Senate delegation will meet with Saudi officials to discuss current political affairs in the region.  The United States and Saudi Arabia have a common interest in preserving the stability, security, and prosperity of the Gulf region and consult closely on a wide range of regional and global issues.  Saudi Arabia plays an important role in working toward a peaceful and prosperous future for the region.

Members of the bipartisan delegation include U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut), Cory Booker (D-New Jersey), Katie Britt (R-Alabama), Ben Cardin (D-Maryland), Chris Coons (D-Delaware), Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), and John Thune (R-South Dakota).
