Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Caleb Richardson, an Augusta native, has completed a summer internship in her Washington, D.C., office.  Caleb is the son of Stephen and Toni Richardson.

“Caleb has demonstrated impressive leadership skills in the classroom, and I commend him on his willingness to serve our nation in uniform,” said Senator Collins.  “I was delighted to welcome him to my Washington, D.C., office, and I am pleased that he had the opportunity to see the legislative process firsthand as well as to serve his fellow Mainers.”

To express her appreciation for his public service, Senator Collins hosted Caleb and his fellow summer interns for breakfast in the Senate Dining Room.

Caleb is a rising senior at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he is studying American Politics.  During the International Sandhurst Military Skills Competition this past spring, Caleb’s team earned second place out of 48 competing teams.  Upon graduating, he plans to commission as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army and eventually pursue a job as a Military Congressional Liaison.
