Washington, D.C.—U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced today that she secured $3,100,000 for infrastructure improvements at the Loring Commerce Centre in the Fiscal Year 2022 Transportation Appropriations bill. Senator Collins is the Ranking Member and lead Republican on the Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee.
The omnibus funding package passed the House and the Senate and now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
“The Loring Commerce Centre is a business incubator that is home to several companies and hundreds of jobs,” said Senator Collins. “This investment will allow this commercial, industrial, and aviation park to better serve its existing tenants while helping to attract new businesses and jobs to Aroostook County.”
The Loring Development Authority will use this funding to make roadway improvements and demolish substandard, blighted structures at Loring Commerce Centre in Limestone.
